DARIEN, Conn. This weekend is supposed to start bright and sunny, but it will be dark and rainy by the end. The National Weather Service is predicting rain could begin as early as Saturday night and continue into the beginning of next week.
Friday is predicted to be sunny, with a high of about 83 degrees. The weather should stay clear Friday night and continue to be sunny Saturday, with a high of about 84. Saturday night, however, there is a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms, mostly after 2 a.m. On Sunday, there is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms, with a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rainfall possible. The showers and thunderstorms will likely continue through Sunday night into Monday, when there is also a 50 percent chance of precipitation.
