CHAPPAQUA, N.Y.After three beautiful, humidity-free days Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, rain and thunderstorms will return this weekend. According to the National Weather Service, there is an increasing chance of thunderstorms from Saturday night through Tuesday, August 16.
Fridays forecast is sunny with a high near 83 degrees. A northwest wind between 5 and 9 mph will keep it cool. Overnight, Fridays low is 57 with clear skies.
Saturdays forecast is sunny with a high of 84 degrees. A calm wind between 5 and 8 mph will make it breezy. Overnight, the chance for showers and thunderstorms arises after 1 a.m. The low will be around 64 with mostly cloudy skies.
Sunday calls for a 50% chance of thunderstorms, cloudy skies with a high near 77. Rainfall between a quarter and a half of an inch is possible. Overnight, the chance for showers continues with cloudy skies and a low around 65.
Monday looks to be similar to Sunday, with a 50% chance of thunderstorms under cloudy skies. Temperatures will reach just about 80 degrees.
