NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The Radisson Hotel New Rochelle was recently honored with an Above and Beyond award by its neighbor, Monroe College, for helping shape the careers of students.
The hotel has been participating in the school's college intern program for about 10 years and has mentored several students, some of whom have gained full-time employment.
Hotel general manager Rhonda Hausman accepted the award from Monroe Executive Vice President Marc Jerome.
The ceremony was part of the colleges first Employer Appreciation Reception held recently at the Culinary Arts Center on its New Rochelle campus.
The hotel was one of 12 area companies and organizations recognized.
