Open to individuals ages 13 to 21 with an interest in law enforcement, the cadet program seeks qualified and compassionate applicants for the next Cadet Recruit class, which begins Monday, Nov. 4.
The cadet program provides leadership opportunities, career orientation experience as well as community service activities. The ultimate goal of the program is to assist young adults in choosing a career path in law enforcement and “challenge them to become responsible citizens of their communities and the nation.”
Currently, the program has a membership of approximately 85 uniformed cadets, many of whom participate in numerous community events alongside uniformed deputy sheriffs.
