Residents can turn in unused prescription and over-the-counter medication, as well as meds for their pets, Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith said.
The day is also being sponsored by the county Health Department and the Putnam Communities That Care Coalition.
It is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at the hospital’s Wagner Cancer Pavilion, 670 Stoneleigh Ave., Carmel.
Sponsors are asking participants to keep their medications in their original packaging if possible and to remove all personal information from the medication.
Hypodermic syringes will not be accepted, sponsors said.
