Ridgefield resident James Robinson got himself called for an infraction Sunday at a soccer game at Wakeman field in Westport. Robinson, 46, allegedly violated an order of protection when he got too close to his wife at the game.
According to police, Robinson is to stay at least 300 feet away from his wife. He reportedly came within 15 feet, but left after she threatened to call the police. Robinson was later contacted by police at his home and turned himself in. He was charged with criminal violation of a protective order. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 3.

? The residents of a home on Hyde Lane reported a jewelry theft on Friday. According to police, the homeowners noticed the jewelry was missing after they were helped by a moving company. The value of the jewelry was put at $2,400.
? A purse was reported stolen from a car parked on Riverside Avenue Friday. According to reports, the purse was left on the passenger side seat and the car was unlocked.
