Pretzelmaker has officially opened at the Poughkeepsie Galleria, the pretzel chain announced on Wednesday, Sept. 23.

The new location is at 2001 South Rd., Suite C114, in Poughkeepsie, inside the shopping center.

The shop serves Pretzelmaker's made-from-scratch Pretzel Bites, which are fresh-baked and hand-rolled, along with a selection of sweet and savory dipping sauces. Customers can also grab the chain's fresh-squeezed, all-natural lemonade.

Pretzelmaker got its start as a single pretzel stand in 1991 and has since grown into a chain with locations serving its signature bites and other snacks. The Poughkeepsie location is the chain's first in Dutchess County.

The new Poughkeepsie location is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
