POUND RIDGE, N.Y. Fourth graders at Pound Ridge Elementary School are traveling back in time next week for an educational adventure to Americas colonial period.
The schools fourth graders will mark Friday as Colonial Day and the PTAs Reading Committee has contracted the organization The Adventure Game to help enhance the experience and make it even more educational.
The Adventure Game is a non-profit organization that creates interactive, arts-based educational experiences for students of all ages.
The Adventure Games presentation at Pound Ridge Elementary will be an all-day event, including workshops in the morning featuring music, stenciling and candle making. The Reading Committee is also planning a potluck colonial lunch for the students, which will be followed by four more activities in the afternoon: toys and games, textiles, cooking and dance. The event concludes with a grade-wide dance.
