POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – The Pound Ridge Elementary School (PRES) PTA will hold a budget discussion and vote on Friday, Oct. 7, at 9 a.m. in the school’s cafeteria.

PTA members can come and hear a presentation on the organization’s budget for the 2011-12 school, provide feedback, and then vote on it.

In the 2010-11 school year, 50 percent of the PTA expenditures went to enrichment-related activities; 36 percent was allocated to faculty support to help it provide enhanced learning activities for students.

Last year, the PTA’s top revenue-earning events included Bingo Night, box top and merchandise rebates, the gift wrap and cookie sale, PTA membership fees and direct donations, and the sale of yearbooks.
