Poughkeepsie Apartment Fire Displaces Two

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Two people who reside in a Poughkeepsie apartment complex are without a place to live because of a Monday evening bedroom fire, according to a report in the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Firefighters arrived within five minutes of getting a 911 call, which saved the building, Arlington Fire Chief Tory Gallante told the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Neighbors learned of the fire from smoke detectors and notified 911, according to Gallante, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.
