Police Sketch IDs Shooting Suspect

Rosa Hernandez-Ramos, 43, of Henry Street, was arrested Thursday morning after a Stamford police sketch linked her to a shooting and attempted robbery. The victim gave Officer Mike Wagner, a composite sketcher, a description of three suspects who approached the victim earlier this month in a robbery attempt. The victim resisted and was shot three times. The would-be robbers fled, according to police. The likeness Officer Wagner drew was extremely precise, said police Sgt. Paul Guzda. "She looked remarkably like the composite. The composite and Rosa were dead-on," he said. It looked so much like Hernandez-Ramos that Officer Steven Murphy and Officer Sean Boeger felt confident arresting Hernandez-Ramos after spotting her. The victim positively identified her. She was charged with first-degree assault, conspiracy to commit attempted robbery, and attempt to commit a crime. Bond was set at $150,000. Police still are seeking the other two assailants.
