Drive drunk in Westport and the police will notice. Take Norwalk resident David Smith. While driving west on Treadwell Avenue early Tuesday morning, Smith, 44, reportedly crossed the yellow centerline more than once. If that weren't enough, police also saw Smith pass through the stop sign at Treadwell and Indian Hill Road. When Smith was stopped, police noticed his eyes were red and glassy. After failing field sobriety tests, he was charged with operating under the influence, failure to drive right, and stop sign violation. He is due in court on Oct. 21.

? Garry Workman, whose last known address is 45 Jesup Rd., was arrested Sunday night on a warrant. The warrant stems from a September incident in which Workman, 57, allegedly stole money from mail at Saugatuck Congregational Church. According to police, church staff indicated that four envelopes appeared to have been opened and resealed. The envelopes reportedly contained church donation checks. It was also reported that Workman later returned the un-cashed checks to the church. Workman was charged with sixth-degree larceny and is due in court on Oct. 20.
? Police spotted Wilton resident Harry Voulgarakis early Monday morning on Wilton Road. According to reports, Voulgarakis, 21, was seen weaving back and forth within his lane. He also allegedly crossed the double yellow centerline four times. When Voulgarakis was stopped, the officer smelled alcohol on his breath. He failed field sobriety tests and was charged with operating under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane. Voulgarakis is due in court on Oct. 19.
