Troopers in Greene County responded to Forest View Drive near Cairo Junction Road in Catskill around 12:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, according to New York State Police.
During a call to 911, Connor Provo reported that he had killed his friends, police said. When troopers arrived, they entered a trailer on the property and found Provo dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Troopers and Greene County sheriff’s deputies searched the rest of the property and entered a double-wide building, where they found two adult men dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victims were identified as 34-year-old Clifford Beauchard and 19-year-old Justin Acevedo, both of Catskill.
State Police said the case is being investigated as a murder-suicide. Investigators believe Provo shot the two men before turning the gun on himself.
Assistance at the scene was provided by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Town of Cairo Police, and New York State Forest Rangers.
