PEEKSKILL -- Whether youre into classic cars or classic jazz, theres plenty to do around town this weekend.
On Saturday, The Peekskill Farmers Market will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Bank Street. Come shop for plants, baked goods, honey, maple syrup, cheeses and other locally made products.
On Sunday, the Peekskill Attic Treasurers Flea Market will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Bank Street. Come search for clothes, shoes, electronics, books, video games and tons more.
Also on Sunday, First Hebrew Congregation of Peekskill will hold a classic car show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be door prizes, food, a raffle and awards. The event is free to attend and the fee for car entry is $10 for pre-registration and $15 on the day of the show.
Several venues in the city will be hosting live performances and presentations this weekend: On Friday 12 Grapes will have a night of R&B and Soul with Rhonda Denét & The Bad Cats. Admission is $10 or $5 with dinner entree. They will also have the Soul, Blues & R&B sounds of New York Uproar on Saturday. Admission is $10 for everyone including diners. Both shows start at 9:30 p.m.
On Sunday 12 Grapes will have a singer/songwriter showcase with Rich Kelly and Tara Dougherty at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
The Beanrunner Café will have the jazz sounds of the Magnets on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10. On Saturday, the café will host a book signing from 1-4 p.m. with author Valerie Eaton for her new urban drama Reality Check: Does Race Define a Relationship? The event is free and open to the public.
On Friday, The Peekskill Coffee House will host Toms Blues Review at 8 p.m. and the Tristen Napoli Trio at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.
