With all the sunlight this summer and plenty of rain in recent days, the seeds planted by Samuel Staples Elementary school students at the end of the school year seem to be soaking it all in.
Patti Popp from Sport Hill Farm in Easton helped students to plant the pumpkin seeds as a part of a new farm program at the school that teaches students how to plant and grow fresh produce.
And while the seeds still have a long way to go before they'll be full grown pumpkins, it certainly is a start.
