At 3:35 p.m., officers and firefighters responded to Linden Airport at 1101 W. Edgar Rd. after a Cesna 172S Skyhawk veered off the runway during takeoff, Linden police said. The pilot was treated on scene and transported to a nearby hospital, police said.
The pilot was the only person on board, the Federal Aviation Administration said. The FAA is investigating.
