STAMFORD, Conn. With many pets in need of help, Outreach to Pets in Need will hold another pet adoption day at High Ridge Shopping Center in Stamford on Saturday, Aug. 13.
We are truly grateful to all the volunteers who work endless hours to care for these animals until they find a forever home. The response from the community is astonishing, and we are so thrilled to report that 14 dogs and 11 cats have been adopted from our first three events, Peter Suchy, of Suchy Jewelers and president of the High Ridge Center Merchants, said in a press release.
In addition to adopting a pet, people can help by donating pet food, supplies and money to Outreach to Pets in Need, the release said. The organization hopes to raise $5,000 to send shelter dog Frankie Blue Eyes to a permanent home at Spirit Animal Sanctuary in New York.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13. The animals offered for adoption will receive a medical exam from High Ridge Animal Hospital.
