A lot of businesses and governmental offices will be closed Monday because of Memorial Day. Fortunately, some do have weekend hours so good planning will help keep your checklist moving.
Pelham's Town Hall closed at 4 p.m. Friday and will not reopen until 9 a.m. Tuesday. The hall houses the town clerk, court clerk, town supervisor and town engineer. Anyone who needs to take care of a parking violation must also go through the town hall. The town hall is closed Saturday and Sunday.
The Village of Pelham hall maintained its normal 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. hours Friday but will be closed Monday in observance of the holiday. The village hall is closed on weekends.
The Pelham Manor Town Hall closed at 4:30 p.m. Friday and will reopen at 9 a.m. Tuesday. It, too, normally closes Saturday and Sunday.
The Pelham Public Library opened at 10 a.m. and closed at 5 p.m. Friday as per usual. Until Memorial Day, the library opens on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closes on Sunday. After Memorial Day, the library closes at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
All six schools in the Pelham Union Free School District will be closed on Memorial Day. But many restaurants, shops and stores will be greeting customers throughout the warm-weather weekend and Monday as well.
