PELHAM, N.Y. Pelham residents can voice their opinions about what qualiities the school districts new superintendent should possess at a community forum Thursday.
The district's second forum in its search for a new leader will be held from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. in Pelham Memorial High School's Alumni Hall.
We want to hear from all members of our community, Pelham School Board President Lisa Kiernan said at a recent meeting. This includes citizens, school administrators, teachers, support staff, students, PTA council members and members of community organizations.
Kiernan also said consulting firm Hazard, Young will begin looking for candidates this fall. The firm also will help prepare the board for interviews with the candidates.
Former Superintendent Charles Wilson will be interim superintendent until June 30, following the retirement of current Superintendent Dennis Lauro on Dec. 31.
