PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill High School artists will unveil their work starting this weekend at two area venues.
Seniors Jennifer Gallego, Daniel Anzola, Diorky Veras, Philip Dixon and Margaret Krapish are featured in the annual Young Artists Exhibition at the Katonah Museum of Art. The opening reception is Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Juniors Aleah Conlon and Elizabeth Shaw took part in the show installation. The show will run through March 11. Peekskill High School artists are also participating in the Garrison Art Center's 2012 School Invitational Theme Exhibition entitled Taking Line for a Walk, which opens with a reception on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibition will continue through March 18. In addition, on Thursday, March 22, the high school art department will host an open gallery in the art room with all its students artwork on display. Students, faculty, staff and parents are welcome to stop by to view the work and learn more about the art program. Refreshments will be served.
