The Peekskill City School District is seeking volunteers to serve on a financial task force. The task force will be charged by the Peekskill Board of Education with formulating a five-year financial forecasting plan. The goal is to complete the plan by December. The objectives of the task force include building a transparent budget, projecting expenses, analyzing contracts, analyzing state aid and local resources, and projecting various budget scenarios based on program and operational priorities. The task force will make recommendations to the board. A minimum of one to two meetings per month, with some work between meetings, will be required. The board invites community volunteers with a financial background to forward a letter of interest and resume to the attention of Debra McLeod, District Clerk at [email protected], by July 15.
