The city’s school district is offering a free meals program to all children, ages 18 and younger. Bagged lunches will be distributed at the Peekskill Middle School, 212 Ringgold St.
No registration is required for the program, which runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays starting on July 1 and ending July 30.
This is the first year that Peekskill has hosted the program, which is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, said Robin Zimmerman, the Peekskill school district's assistant superintendent for business, .
