Peekskill Man Charged in Domestic Assaults

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – A city man was charged this week after two two incidents of domestic violence that occurred over several days, Peekskill police said.

Gregory Carter, 39, is accused of assaulting a female on Thursday, June 14, and again on Monday, June 18, causing her injury, police said. Carter was being sought for the June 14 incident when he assaulted the victim again on Monday and fled from the responding officers, police said.

Several hours later, police saw him on Main Street, and he was arrested at 4:15 p.m. in the 900 block of Main Street by Police Officer Ed Lemp.

Carter was charged with two counts of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. He was held for arraignment in City Court.

Drug Charges: Alex Brezovsky, 21, and Dominick Larosa, 25, both of Peekskill, were arrested at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, in the 1200 block of Main Street by Police Officer Matt Basso. They had several Oxycontin pills without a prescription, police said. Both were charged with criminal possession of controlled substance, a misdemeanor. They were held for arraignment in City Court.
