PEEKSKILL,NY - Cops say a student at Peekskill High School was injured arriving to school Thursday morning.
Police Lt. Eric Johansen says the female student, who has not been identified, was being dropped off by her mother at the school when the incident occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. "The girl's coat apparently got caught in the door as she got out of the car," said Johansen, "And, it's unclear whether she was struck by the car or was dragged."
The girl, he says, suffered minor injuries to her head and face and was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital Center as a precaution. Police are still investigating the accident.
