Wheelabrator Technologies has an opening for a Plant Operator at its Peekskill power plant. The plant operator has many responsibilities, including monitoring and controlling boilers, turbine and auxiliary plant equipment from the control room to maintain safe, efficient and continuous plant operation. The employee will work overtime and rotating shifts. A high school diploma or general education degree or equivalent, bachelors or associates degree or equivalent is desirable. Two years working in power plant environment as APO or comparable position or five years related experience or training in power plant environment is also a requirement.
