PEEKSKILL -- Once again the city's annual namesake event lived up to all the hype, as thousand came to the Riverfront Green for a weekend of food, entertainment, live music and fireworks at the 2011 Peekskill Celebration.
Hundreds of food, art, and clothing vendors set up shop in the park as families enjoyed the live performances on two stages set up for the event. Many attendees also took time to watch the dragon boat races that were held throughout the day Saturday.
The celebration went off without a hitch and not even a downpour Saturday night could stop the massive fireworks show.
