Peekskill BID Election to Be Held Feb. 23

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – The Peekskill Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) will hold its annual board election later this month.

The BID is made up of city merchants, property owners and city representatives who work to help attract visitors and stimulate commerce in the downtown business district though various initiatives such as holding concerts and fairs, which are paid for through taxes.

A list of this year's candidates can be found on the BID’s website, www.downtownpeekskill.com, along with a statement from each candidate that is running.

The BID will be holding its annual meeting at the Elks Lodge on Thursday, Feb. 23 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., where members will vote for the new BID board and discuss the organization’s plans for the year. Dinner will be provided. Members are being asked to RSVP for the event by Feb. 20.

The BID is also looking to replace its outdated website, and has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the project. Those interested can view the RFP here.
