Police said an officer responded to a report of a disorderly male subject who was creating a disturbance outside a Patterson residence.
The deputy determined that Burke was repeatedly harassing a woman at the residence, according to police. The woman indicated that she wanted to press charges and Burke was arrested at the scene, police said.
Burke was arrested and charged with harassment in the first degree, a misdemeanor. He was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and held pending arraignment.
