Passaic County Collecting Hazardous Waste

WAYNE, N.J. – A Household Hazardous Waste Collection event for Passaic County Residents is planned from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, at the Para-transit Facility Parking Lot, 1310 Route 23 North, Wayne, rain or shine. This program is free for residents with proof of ID.

Small0quantity generators (small commercial businesses) may attend for a fee, but must pre-register.

Materials accepted include pesticides and herbicides, solvents and thinners, paints (oil based), varnishes and waxes, corrosives and cleaners, pool chemicals, kerosene, photographic chemicals, anti-freeze, fire extinguishers, flares, and more. Continuing its policy, no water based latex paint will be accepted.
