OSSINING, N.Y. Ossining High School has been recognized by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association for promoting sportsmanship.
"We are not perfect, but we believe that sportsmanship is the number one priority," said Ossining Athletic Director James Dennett in a press release. "The student athletes, coaches and Ossining athletic community try to get better every year."
It is the seventh consecutive year that Ossining High School has been recognized by the state Athletic Association for promoting sportsmanship through its athletic programs and policies.
The Ossining Athletic Booster Club, a volunteer organization that aims to help the athletic department by promoting a positive atmosphere, has been instrumental in creating a sportsmanlike atmosphere at events, Dennett said.
