FAIRFIELD, Conn. An off-duty Trumbull police officer was involved in a fight with a group of teenagers at the Jennings Beach Skate Park in Fairfield Thursday afternoon, police said.
Fairfield Police still are investigating the incident, and have not made any arrests at this time.
The officer was at the skate park around 5:20 p.m., Thursday, when he saw a pair of teenagers driving recklessly in the parking lot, according to police reports. He identified himself as an off-duty police officer, and asked the drivers to turn off their cars and hand over their keys.
Two teenage males then got out of the car and began attacking the officer, according to the report. Others from the skate park went over to assist before the man retrieved his badge and the teens dispersed.
The incident was recorded in part by witnesses and the towns surveillance cameras at the skate park.
