Say hello to Odi, the first in a line of lucky dogs. Acting First Selectman Sherri Steeneck has decided to use her time in office to help the animals at Fairfield Animal Controls shelter find homes to adopt them. So before each meeting of the Board of Selectmen, she asked Animal Control Officer Bill McDonough to bring along a puppy looking for a home. That makes Odi the first Pet of the Every-Other-Week.
Odi is an 8-month-old male mixed breed who has been in Animal Controls Kennel for a few weeks.
Someone brought him in, McDonough said. They said they found him roaming the streets. Since hes not neutered, Odi will cost a loving family $50 to adopt, but the new owners will receive a voucher for the neutering procedure.
