Norwalker Hit With DUI Charge

Norwalk resident Mihaita Anton, 42, learned first-hand how diligent Westport police officers can be. After receiving a complaint of a car driving erratically on Saturday night, officers found the suspected car in the parking lot at 20 Saugatuck Ave. In speaking with Anton, officers smelled alcohol on his breath and noticed he was slurring his words. Anton failed field sobriety tests and was charged with operating under the influence. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 7.
