Norwalk Shooting Victim Arrested

NORWALK, Conn. – A Norwalk man who was shot recently on Taylor Avenue was arrested Tuesday in connection with the incident. Troy Davis, 22, of 28 Martin Luther King Drive, was charged with second-degree breach of peace. Bond was set at $500.

Davis has been involved in shootings over the past few years, both as a victim and as a suspected shooter, police said in the affidavit that led to the arrest of Christopher "Junie" Entzminger-Joyner on Sept. 7. Police have identified Entzminger-Joyner, 20, of 42 Taylor Ave., as the gunman in the incident, which took place Aug. 29 on Taylor Avenue.

Three people were shot that night. Two went to Norwalk Hospital and were treated and released. Davis went to Stamford Hospital and stayed several days, police said.

Davis had been riding in a car on Taylor Avenue and "hopped out" to talk with people standing on the steps at 78 Taylor Ave., witnesses said, according to the affidavit. Entzminger-Joyner was there, police say.

Davis began to argue with Entzminger-Joyner and was heard to say, "This ain't the night for it, man." A fistfight ensued, and both men fell to the ground. A witness said Entzminger-Joyner pulled a gun from his waistband, and Davis tried to knock it away. He was shot in the side and ran.

He was uncooperative with police who interviewed him in the hospital. He denied being in a fistfight, although he had abrasions on his hands, according to the affidavit. He said he had fallen, and when an officer pointed out that the abrasions would be on his palm if he had gotten them from breaking a fall, he had no reply.
