NORWALK, Conn. A Norwalk man reported being carjacked early Friday, Norwalk Police say.
The man said he had been stopped at a red light at New Canaan and Riverside avenues when two men opened the doors of his 2003 Subaru and jumped in, Sgt. Lisa Cotto said. One of them had a knife, he said. He drove to a street that he couldn't name and parked the car. They told him to get out and drove away, he said.
The man said he knocked on a door nearby but the female resident wouldn't let him in, Cotto said. He said the woman told him she would call police. He said he ran and eventually returned to his Wolfpit Avenue home by cab.
The man called police at 3:24 a.m. and said the incident had happened two hours earlier, Cotto said.
The victim said he had his cell phone with him during the incident, Cotto said.

A Norwalk man said he was assaulted and robbed while walking alone early Friday in South Norwalk, Cotto said.
The disoriented man said he had been visiting friends when he became hungry and began walking to Connecticut Avenue to see what was open, Cotto said. He said he was on Keith Street when someone began punching and kicking him.
Police were called by Norwalk Hospital at 2:28 a.m. The victim had an abrasion above his right eye and lip, Cotto said. He didn't remember if he had any money but said he must have since he was going shopping.
Police were hoping he would be able to provide more information when he felt less disoriented, Cotto said.
