Construction crews jackhammered the intersection of North Avenue and Garden Street Wednesday morning to replace an electrical box.
According to on-site construction workers, they are replacing an electrical conduit that powers the surrounding businesses and residences. Traffic is only slightly impeded and the work is expected to be done today.
Around the corner, city engineers are surveying the streets between Memorial Highway and Huguenot Avenue. Traffic signs are posted.
