Nicholas P. Francois, who was reported missing on Sunday, Sept. 6, after last being seen in Middletown, has been found, New York State Police said on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 8.
Francois had last been seen leaving his Middletown residence on Monday, Aug. 31.
Police did not say where he was found or give details on his condition.
Original Report: Police are asking for the public's help in finding a 37-year-old man who has been missing for more than a week after last being seen in Orange County.
Nicholas P. Francois was reported missing on Sunday, Sept. 6, after last being seen leaving his residence at 773 Pocatello Rd. in Middletown on foot on Monday, Aug. 31, New York State Police announced on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Francois was last seen sometime between 5 and 9 p.m., police said, adding that he is believed to be a danger to himself.
He is described as around 5-foot-7 and 280 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
When he disappeared, Francois was wearing a cut-off white shirt, black basketball shorts, a tan hat, and black sneakers with an orange stripe, according to police.
He also has a vertical tattoo on his right leg that reads “KENNETH.”
Police said Francois has previously been known to frequent Nelson's and the Switch Inn in the City of Middletown.
