New Rochelle's Trinity Principal Excited For Year

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Anthony DiCarlo, former principal and director of athletics and special education at Tuckahoe’s William E. Cottle School, has been named the new principal at New Rochelle’s Trinity Elementary School.

“I am looking forward to my new role as principal of the Trinity Elementary School,” said DiCarlo in an email. “My administrative career has allowed me to develop a depth and breadth of experiences, both on the elementary and middle school levels, over the past 20 years,” he said.

DiCarlo takes over the position from Principal Rolando Briceno, who resigned at the end of the 2011-2012 school year.

DiCarlo was principal at his former school from 2005 to 2010. He served as the school’s director of athletics and special education for the past two years.

DiCarlo is certified in school administration, Spanish through the grade 12 and social studies for grades seven to 12.

“I am excited about coming to Trinity and working with wonderful teachers, staff, students, parents and the Trinity community,” he said.

DiCarlo outlined his goals for the upcoming school year, the first of his three-year probationary term.

“Whether one’s responsibility is administrating, supervising, teaching, preparing lunches, maintaining a building, or managing an office, there is always room for improvement and for new ways to do a good job even better,” he said.

“This year, as in every year, we must concentrate on the processes that spur continuing advancement, evaluating what is current, determining what we can do to improve and identifying what we need to make those improvements,” said DiCarlo.

“Our goal is to always be the best we can be!”
