King Richards, 11, has been missing since March 2025, the New Rochelle Police Department announced on Thursday, May 21.
According to investigators, King’s father, Dwight Richards Sr., took the child during a court-related custody proceeding and failed to return with him afterward.
Police said King’s mother has since been granted full custody.
Authorities said King was last seen with his father, but their exact whereabouts remain unknown.
New Rochelle Police also said Dwight Richards Sr. now has an active warrant for his arrest.
King Richards is described as an 11-year-old Black boy standing about 5 feet tall and weighing around 125 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Police described Dwight Richards Sr. as a Black man standing about 6-foot-2 and weighing around 300 pounds. He is bald with brown eyes.
Investigators said the pair may have ties to New Rochelle, Mount Vernon, and Yonkers.
