NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. Did you know that a rock with a plaque in memory of Beechmont Neighborhood founder and famous local real estate broker Eugene Lambden sits alongside the left side of Beechmont Drive?
The monument was erected by Lambden's neighbors. Lambden and his brother John founded the neighborhood for the City Realty Company in 1902. The neighborhood sits on the eastern side of the city adjacent to Mamaroneck.
Eugene Lambden was born in 1856 and died in 1909.
