Milling and paving on Wildcliff Drive, Fairview Place, South Division Street, Washington Avenue and Glenwood Place will happen between July 23 and 26.

Commuters can expect partial to full road closures and increased traffic.

Additionally, as part of a joint inter-municipal agreement, New Rochelle will serve as the lead agency for resurfacing projects of neighboring communities.

The agreement between New Rochelle, Mamaroneck, Larchmont, Pelham and Pelham Manor allows the smaller municipalities to get competitive volume pricing through bidding as a whole rather than individually.

"Joint agreements such as these are win-win all around," said City Manger Charles Strome. "By combining our projects into one bid, we will each reap the benefits of lower costs, and can then apply those savings to upgrade more roadways."

Under the agreement, each town will pay the contractor for their own services - based upon their respective volume. In addition, the municipalities will reimburse New Rochelle for engineering services.
