New Rochelle High School Students Interview Rep. Engel

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- What is the main job of a member of the House of Representatives? How can teens get more involved in politics? What are the most common issues that compel a constituent to contact a member of Congress?

Those questions were among those asked of U.S. Rep.Eliot Engel (D-16th District) by New Rochelle High School students in a videotaped interview posted on YouTube.

"I basically say no issue is too big or too small. And I tell people if they have a personal problem or community concern 'Come in and tell us about it," Engel responded to the third question.

In all, the students asked him five questions in the taped interview.
