This festival will be a farewell to summer with six performances on Aug. 26 and 27 and Sept. 2 and 3 during Labor Day Weekend. Auditions for performers will be held at the end of June. Performance times are: Fridays at 8 p.m., and Saturdays at 2 p.m .and 8 p.m.
All plays must be complete, original one act works. The run time can be anywhere between 15 and 30 minutes, with six or fewer characters. Plays will be fully staged with sound and lighting, however a budget for each play will not be provided.
There is no set theme for this festival; all submissions are welcomed. By doing this event, Defining Moments Theatre Co. is fulfilling their mission as a new business to help others who have original and unpublished work. They are seeking and encouraging others to take a chance, create and share new moments with this new company on the stage.
Defining Moments is a New Jersey Theatre Company established in 2015 and focuses on the production of original and scripted pieces while also providing both private and open instructional classes, and workshops of different varieties for all ages.
