MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. The Westchester County Department of Public Safety notified the Mount Pleasant Police Department earlier this week that a possibly violent registered sex offender has moved into the area.
Benjamin Franklin, 48, recently moved into Valhalla after being convicted in 2009 of a second degree criminal sexual act. A class-D felony, Franklin sexually assaulted a mentally handicapped male incapable of providing consent.
It has been noted by the department of public safety that Franklin used force during this act. This force included choking, threat and physically overpowering the victim. Franklin is under the supervision of the New York State Division of Parole.
