Mount Kisco Prepares for Sidewalk Sales Days

Mount Kisco, NY-- For yet another year, the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce is getting ready to host the very popular Sidewalk Sales Days. This Saturday and Sunday, businesses all over Mount Kisco will be heading to South Moger Avenue, showing their best to the community. The days will both begin at 10 a.m. with each ending at 5 p.m.

Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Kathleen Mooney, knows the importance of the day to the town’s establishments.

“’Sidewalk Sales Days  is one big way to get your name out there to meet people and network a bit,” Mooney said. “Some try to sell, some are just trying to be involved with the community.”

The community, Mooney thinks, will show good support, especially since the Chamber has revved up the sites and sounds of the event.

“We’re evolving. ‘Sales days’ has been put on for quite some time, and it changes over time; it grows with the town,” she said. “We’re stepping it up and trying to make it a bigger and better event.”

The Chamber made it a point to spread out activity on the promenade and pop-up stages throughout the day, so there will be constant entertainment to give to the residents.

Even though it might be bigger than in recent years, she knows that, at its heart, Sidewalk Sales Days a weekend for the everyday local to enjoy an afternoon or two out on the town.

“When you have the little kids in the stroller and walk up and down the street, it’s just nice being out and about. You get to go around Mount Kisco, there are different things to see, and you get to see people you know and kids her to see their friends.”
