On Sunday, the New York State Police arrested and charged a man for driving while intoxicated onLexington Avenue in Cortlandt.
Mount Kisco resident Jarion Roquevillafuerte, 31, was allegedly stopped by a state trooperafter making an improper right turn and going across hazard markings repeatedly.
Before his arrest, the State Police trooper noticed a strong alcohol odor on Roquevillafuerte'sbreath. At that time, Roquevillafuerte was asked to perform a standardized field sobriety test, which he could not complete.
Roquevillafuerte was then arrested and transported to Cortlandt State Police barracks, where he was given a breathalizer test, which came back with a positive sample of .14% Blood Alcohol Content.
Roquevillafuerte is due back in the Town of Cortlandt court on October 3.
