Gregory Mewes, 18, of Aiken St., Norwalk, was arrested Sunday on a warrant issued by the Greenwich Police Dept. after he failed to appear in court. The original charges were for evading responsibility, reckless driving, failure to keep right and operating to endanger. Wilton police pulled over Mewess vehicle over for failure to display a front license plate. The officer discovered the warrant when he heard Mewes and the driver making statements about possible drug activity and decided to run a wanted persons check. The driver was allowed to leave after the traffic stop.
