SOMERS, N.Y. On Friday New York State Police stopped a car that was driving erratically along Route 118. Police determined that the driver, Randy David, 24, of Carmel was operating the motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, a misdemeanor.
Further investigation of the vehicle disclosed a supply of heroin and a hypodermic needle, police said. David was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets and Appearance Tickets, requiring him to appear in Somers Town Court on May 23 at 5:30 p.m.
The following incident was also reported by New York State Police:
New York State Police were summoned to the home of Nicholas P. Vieira, 33, of Somers on Sunday in response to a report of domestic violence. Vieira was taken to police headquarters, where he caused property damage amounting to over $250.
Police charged Vieira with third criminal mischief, a felony, and fourth degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned and remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail. Vieira was scheduled to appear in Somers Town Court on May 21 at 5:30 p.m.
