GREENBURGH, N.Y. The Greenburgh police issued summonses to six teenagers for possession of alcohol, after its drug and alcohol task force caught them drinking in front of a residence on 14 Scarsdale Farm Road.
The youth were from a group different than the 24 other teenagers who, a week ago and just a few blocks away, were also issued summons for underage drinking, police said.
The Greenburgh Police Department responded to a complaint that several teenagers were drinking alcoholic beverages last Saturday night on the above address, police said. The police officers did find a number of teenagers there, and their investigation confirmed that those teens had indeed been drinking.
The parents of the teenagers who hosted the party werent at home when the officers arrived, police said. The six 16-year-old teenagers who were issued a summons were released at the scene and are due in court in October, police said.
