Raised in Gull Lake, Michigan, Patton graduated from high school in 1998, and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in 2002. She met Scott Patton while finishing college, and lived in New York City for six years before settling in Fairfield in 2008.
An interior designer, Molly worked for five years in the marketing department of Health magazine before raising her children.
Patton is survived by her husband Scott, and children, Sydney and Henry.
She is also survived by her father, Patrick Murphy, Sr. of Michigan; her brother, Patrick Murphy, Jr. and his wife, Sharleen of California; Her in-laws, Alan and Francine Patton of New York; and her brother-in-law Michael Patton and his wife Lauren of New York.
Patton was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth Krum Murphy.
Friends greeted her family on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center.
A service to celebrate Patton's life, officiated by the Reverend David Spollett, immediately followed at 11:30 a.m. All other services will be private.
